Hot chilli attack: Indo nabbed
Kuala Lumpur: A 34-year-old Indonesian woman has been detained in connection with targeting customers of a shopping mall here.Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohamed Mokhsein Mohamed Zon said the suspect was arrested following reports that she had allegedly attacked a woman in the parking lot of the mall on Friday.

"We have arrested the suspect. She has been remanded for 14 days," he said.

This follows a Facebook post detailing an incident at the mall which went viral.

Facebook user Diana Abdullah posted that a woman poured chilli-based liquid on another woman named Sasha as the latter was getting into her car.

"Sasha was drenched and the chilli was burning her skin. Her young nephew also had bits of chilli on him.

"The suspect was caught and held down by a kind gentleman who happened to be there too. Everyone dispersed and left after the security came," she posted.

Diana added that she accompanied the victim to a nearby police station.

"At the police station, the police advised Sasha to go to the hospital first as her skin was red all over.

"We then went back to the parking (lot), and I helped her to clean her car seat. Sasha then went to HUKM (Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia)," she said.

She added Sasha suffered first-degree burns on her skin but both she and her nephew were fine.
