Two Filipinas held over DVDs

Lahad Datu: Two Filipinas, aged 31 and 35, were detained for having 364 DVDs during Ops Ostrich, at a premise along Jalan Kastam Baru, here, Sept 19.District Police Chief ACP Nasri Mansor said the operation was carried out by a team from the Commercial Crime Investigation Department following a tip-off.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

"DVDs of various titles without certificates were displayed and sold to customers," he said, Wednesday.

Nasri said the suspects were detained under Section 18(4)(A) of the Film Censorship Act 2002 which carries a fine of RM30,000 or three years in jail or both, upon conviction.
