First Tawau village to set up Voluntary Patrol System

Tawau: The setting up of the Voluntary Patrol System (VPS) at Matahir village here will further enhance rapport between the public and the police.Infrastructure Development Assistant Minister and Merotai Assemblyman, Pang Yuk Ming, said the VPS, the first in the district, was an exemplary measure to complement the police's effort in combating crime. "The VPS is equipped with its own sentry post hut to do policing job," he said at its launching, recently.
