Kuala Lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak Monday underwent successful arthroscopic surgery of the left knee which he had injured in a sports event. The surgery, conducted at Kuala Lumpur Hospital, took 45 minutes from 8.30am, Director-General of Health Datuk Dr Hasan Abdul Rahman said in a statement.
"The doctors who performed the surgery were satisfied with the outcome of the operation," he said.
Dr Hasan said Najib was advised to rest at the hospital up to Wednesday. He was expected to resume duties next week.
