Kota Kinabalu: KDM Malaysia on Tuesday described the appointment of its advisory council joint chairman Professor Dr Raduan Haji Che Rose as Vice Chancellor II of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) as a great morale booster to its effort to bring up the KDM community's education achievement to the desired height. Its President Datuk John Ambrose, in congratulating Prof. Dr Raduan on his appointment, said this will give an extraordinary impact to the KDM Malaysia's future, while his Vice President I cum Treasurer-General Datuk Peter Anthony hoped that KDM Malaysia will continue with its constructive engagement with Dr Raduan and the rest of its advisory council members, particularly in issues involving the community's education interests.

Prof. Dr Raduan, from Alor Gajah, Malacca, was appointed to the post for a three-year term period effective Jan 1, 2012. He was among the founders of the National Professors Council and presently holds the secretary post since its inception on April 1, 2009.

He also once served as Special Adviser to the Higher Education Minister.
