SEPANGGAR: A 24-year-old man died at the hospital after the Kancil he was travelling in collided with a Toyota Innova at the traffic light junction in Indah Permai, here, Saturday.Francis Voon Chee Fah from Menggatal and two other passengers, Chong Tze Tam, 29, and Arianto, 16, were believed to be heading to Tebobon when the 2am fatal mishap occurred. Voon died at the hospital at 3.50am due to serious injuries to the head and body.

Meanwhile, Chong who was sitting in the front passenger seat sustained serious injuries.

However, Arianto escaped with minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota Innova, believed heading to Indah Permai, was with a 33-year-old man who was in the front passenger seat.

The driver escaped, leaving his passenger, who sustained injuries to the head, behind.

It took 20 minutes for the Fire and Rescue Department comprising 16 personnel to free the trapped victims.
