Kota Kinabalu: Four people sustained injuries in two road accidents which occurred 15 minutes apart on the second day of the Harvest Festival celebration, early Thursday.A Kancil driver and a front seat passenger, both in their 20s, were fortunate to suffer only minor injuries when the vehicle crashed into a traffic light pole near City Mall at 12.30am.
Both received outpatient treatment at the hospital.
Fifteen minutes later, two 19-year-old passengers travelling in a Perodua MyVi with three others were hurt when the vehicle collided with an Isuzu D-Max along Jalan Kolam in Luyang, here.
A female passenger seated at the back broke her hand and sustained injury on her hip while her male friend who also sat at the back broke his hand in the collision.
An 18-year-old who was driving the MyVi was heading to Foh Sang, Luyang prior to the collision at 12.45am while the Isuzu D-max was coming out from a junction in the area.
Two other male passengers sitting at the front and back seats were not hurt in the incident.
The D-Max driver, who was unhurt, immediately left the scene but with the public's help, police managed to track down the 41-year-old man who lives in Taman Luyang.
