Kota Kinabalu: The autopsy report on the death of the 16-year-old girl in Kota Marudu is expected to be out in a day or two as many people, especially the public, wait to know the latest information. It is hoped that once the autopsy result is out, the many speculations on the Internet which have triggered anger among the community in Kota Marudu would be put to rest.
State Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib on Wednesday advised the people not to be influenced by the rumours spread over the Internet and gave a stern warning to online media publishers who are responsible for spreading rumours.
He said they are still waiting for the full report from the Pathology Department and urged the people not to be swayed by the online speculations.
It was reported on Monday that 16-year-old Norikoh Saliwa, from Kg Bombong 1, was found dead about 2km from Kota Marudu town about 12.40pm.
Following that, many speculations have been posted on a social website which claimed that Norikoh's death was due to serious injuries sustained after she was sexually assaulted by five foreigners.
