Action taken against senior officer: IGP

Kuala Lumpur: Disciplinary action has been taken against a police officer who was found to have uploaded a comment carrying seditious elements in his Facebook account.Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, through his twitter account, said the officer concerned had been transferred to the General Policing Division, Criminal Investigation Department, Bukit Aman with immediate effect until the completion of investigation.

The officer concerned, who was attached to the Criminal Investigation Department, Kuala Muda District Police Headquarters, Kedah, was alleged to have uploaded a comment with seditious undertone against those practicing the Hindu faith in the country. - Bernama
