Tawau Sports Complex to get RM13mil pool

Tawau: A total of RM13 million had been allocated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the building of a swimming pool at the Tawau Sports Complex Stadium, Minister, Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar said on Sunday.Besides that, he said that the government had also approved the allocations worth RM12 million to build a facility for motor sports in the district.He also asked the Tawau Municipal Council to ensure that the allocations given by the government are used wisely by holding meetings with those parties concerned to determine a strategic location for the facility to be built.

He said this when launching the Santai Aidilfitri together with the Youth and Sports Minister.Later, he also encouraged the youths to be volunteers in the next Sabah Games (Saga) as a sign of appreciation towards the government.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Tawfiq who celebrated his first anniversary as the Minister of Youth and Sports also agreed to hold a logo competition for the Ministry with exciting prizes to be won during the Youth Day celebration next year.According to him, the logo is important as part of the Ministry's image besides giving the youths opportunities to display their talent in the field.
