"I hope all the universities and colleges who took part in Sukmab this year will continue to do so in the coming Sukmabs, especially our friends from Brunei and Indonesia.

"Sukmab should be continued in years to come because I believe it helps greatly in the development and production of high capacity athletes in our universities," he said.

According to Ismail, sport is also a medium that can be used to install unity among students and ultimately contribute towards the development of the country because students with healthy bodies will have healthy minds.

"With healthy minds, surely the students' productivity and quality will greatly increase in whatever aspect may it be their studies or their work.

"Therefore I hope everyone has benefited from this sporting event and the new lessons can be applied in your future undertaking," he added.
