Storm damages SK Kemabong block
TENOM: An afternoon storm on Friday destroyed one of SK Kemabong's three-classroom blocks where 68 Primary One pupils attend their lessons each week. Luckily, no one was hurt as the incident happened during the school holidays.

Education Officer Azlan Dimon, who was on a site visit Saturday, said he is now anticipating the response and further instructions from the State Education head office after sending the damage report.

"The school's library and lab operations will be disrupted due to the incident," he said.

Azlan also said the school will remain open on Monday and pupils who have to sit for the USPR examination papers on Sept 30 will be able to do so.

Education Director Datuk Jame Alip, meanwhile, has forwarded the damage report to the Development Unit for action.
