PAPAR: The bumiputera community in this State are encouraged to get involved in generating economy which will improve their standards of living. Works Deputy Minister Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin said getting involved in the business field is a wise step in line with the development nationwide.

"Business is the best form of career nowadays, thus, do not push aside the opportunity to get involved in the field because it could generate a generous amount of income," she said.

On that note, she said the Government will continue to strengthen the position and participation of the bumiputera community in the economic development of the country.

She said, in the recently tabled 2015 Budget, the Government continued to provide assistance as well as numerous incentives for the bumiputera community to get involved in the field which encourages their involvement in business.

"Globalised development has reduced the peoples dependency particularly the young generation in both public and private work sectors.

"Such development should be wisely utilised by the bumiputera community and they should grab the opportunity by choosing the right sector that has the potential to develop," she said.

She said this at the launching of the Borneo Enterpreneurial Breakthrough programme held at the Papar Community Hall here, Sunday.

Also present were the founder of Borneo Apprentice Harry Michael Sibius, Suzelah Roslan, Veronica Lawrence, Raynold Thomas and the Programme Director Roselinda John Raimin.

Speaking on the programme, Rosnah who is Papar MP said it can strengthen the understanding, knowledge and awareness of the people on how effective the development of entrepreneur e-franchise network marketing development is.

"The programme will assist in improving the people's standard of living by giving business opportunity which offers education as a business medium in line with the use of technology which has now become the daily trend," she said.
