Kota Kinabalu: A total of 25 students from Universiti Malaysia Sabah's (UMS) Student Representative Council paid a visit to Monash University in Melbourne recently.According to the Student Affairs Department head, Kim Asbiyallah Shah Akim, the visit also known as 'Kangaroo Land Adventures' was to enlighten students on society in Australia, especially in terms of work culture and local development in addition to finding out what it was like studying abroad.
"During the visit, the UMS students had a dialogue with representatives of Malaysian students studying at Monash University for an exchange of views on the educational context and student leadership," she said.

She added that all input received through these visits are likely to have a huge impact on strengthening the management and organisation of the UMS undergraduate student programme in the future.
"This visit also provides an opportunity for both parties (UMS and Monash University) to work on the education system applied in Australia and Malaysia," she said.
'Kangaroo Land Adventures' is one of the department's efforts to internationalise their undergraduates through partnerships.
