Kota Kinabalu: The Federal Court's decision to uphold the Appellate Court's decision to jail Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will not dampen the spirit and morale of party members in Sabah.Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sabah Chairman Datuk Lajim Ukin, said there are many "Anwar Ibrahims" in the country who will continue his struggle to fight injustice.

"It is definitely a bad and unfortunate day for Pakatan Rakyat (PR) especially for PKR. Nonetheless, I see that the fighting spirit shown by the people and supporters of Anwar, PR and PKR are becoming stronger and determined to continue the party struggle for the betterment of the country," he said, when contacted in Kuala Lumpur.

"In Anwar's last talk (Monday night), he said several world leaders offered him political asylum. But he refused as he wants to fight for justice and the people's future, and if the price of the struggle is to be jailed, he is willing to take the risk.

"Hence, all party members and supporters should emulate this fighting spirit of Anwar and continue with the agenda of the party struggle," he said.

In addition, Lajim called on party leadership in Sabah to be calm and stop any internal conflicts as they must be resilient with such tough challenge and focus to stay united to continue with their cause of struggle. He also advised supporters to remain composed.
