1,500 more PPR houses to be built in S'kan

Sandakan: The Government will build 1,500 houses in the Sandakan district under the People's Housing Programme (PPR) to meet the local residents' need for housing.Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said the move was in line with the Government's effort towards enabling the people to live in more comfortable houses. "Various facilities such as a community hall and surau and others will also be provided by the Government in such housing schemes," he told reporters after visiting the Taman Harmoni PPR, here, Friday.

He said such housing schemes had been developed by the Government not only in Sandakan but all over Sabah. Musa, who is also Sabah Finance Minister, said the Government would work at ensuring every citizen who had not owned a house yet could own one.
