Johor: Southeast Asia's largest agarwood-processing plant in Johor, owned by Singapore-based Asia Plantation Capital Group, has begun operations. The facility includes a purpose-built agarwood factory and research centre.More production lines will be added in the coming months. The integrated facility occupies more than 40,000 sq ft at the Masai Industrial Park.

Asia Plantation Capital has expanded its manufacturing and retail operations for end products and consultancy in its efforts to become a fully-integrated global plantation and end-product manufacturing and supply company. It is also the sole supplier of quality oud (agar) oil to prestige fragrance brand Fragrance Du Bois.

Apart from the expansion, a source says the company plans to open oud factories in the Middle East over the next one or two years.
