Kota Kinabalu: Another message has gone viral via Facebook and WhatsApp, this time of a nurse who was allegedly robbed near the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Acting City Police Chief Supt Mohd Azhar Hamin said the case actually took place last year along Jalan Kionsom in Inanam near the Sekolah Kebangsaan Bantayan in Minintod heading towards Bukit Padang and not at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital as circulated on social media.The incident involved a clerk who suffered losses of RM2,000 in the incident which happened at about 3.30pm on April 22 last year.

It was reported that the clerk's vehicle was rear-ended by a Hyundai vehicle and this prompted the clerk to alight from the vehicle to inspect the damages as well as to talk to the Hyundai driver who also alighted from his vehicle. Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

When the clerk made a phone call to her employer, the man suddenly pushed her and grabbed her gold necklace before fleeing in the Hyundai towards Inanam direction. The 26-year-old local man was nabbed in Tuaran on May 2 last year and has been charged in court under Section 392 of the Penal Code and sentenced to four years prison.
