Kuala Lumpur: Two persons, among 107 evacuated from Wuhan on a special AirAsia flight Tuesday, failed a coronavirus health screening upon arriving at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and were taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
Only 107 Malaysians and their foreign family members made the evacuation flight, out of 141 registered for the purpose, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail in a statement Tuesday.
Those who missed the flight had not been able to secure transportation to Wuhan city or to its airport.
The 105 individuals who cleared health screening at the Kuala Lumpur airport were taken to a monitoring centre at the Higher Education Leadership Centre in Bandar Enstek, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan for a two-week quarantine.
