Kota Kinabalu: Another polio case was detected in Sandakan, involving a non-citizen and bringing the total number of cases in Sabah to four, it has been announced.

The three-year-old boy has never been vaccinated against polio, said the Ministry of Health on Twitter Tuesday.

The three previous cases involved a three-month-old baby in Tuaran, an eight-year-old in Sandakan and an 11-year-old in Kinabatangan.

Only the Tuaran case is still being treated at hospital, said the Ministry.
