Cops hunting for two burglars in Sandakan
SANDAKAN: Police are pursuing two male suspects who broke into a 24-hour convenience store, here, Monday.

District Chief Police, ACP Mohd Azhar Hamin said the two men broke into the store and while fleeing in their car, they collided with a police patrol car at 11.29pm at Kg Forest.

“They duo fled on foot after the collision and an inspection on the Kembara found various items such as fast food and medicines in large quantities with the Gemilang store price tag.

“Investigations revealed that the suspects were involved in a burglary case just hours earlier,” he told reporters, here.

Azhar said all the items found, including the Kembara were brought to the Sandakan Police District Headquarters for further investigation.

“The owner of the store verify that the items found by police in the vehicle were stolen from his shop and the act was caught on CCTV.

“Police are tracking down the two suspects. Public with information can come to the police station to assist,” he said, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code. – Winnie Kasmir
