Kota Kinabalu: No new positive Covid-19 case was reported in Sabah on Tuesday, maintaining the tally at 308. The number who have recovered increased by nine bringing the total to 193.
Tawau topped the list of positive cases with 81, followed by Kota Kinabalu (44), Lahad Datu (42), Kinabatangan (22), Tuaran (22), Sandakan (21), Keningau (16), Penampang (12), Beaufort (11), Kunak (8), Putatan (8), Kota Belud (5), Sipitang (4), Papar (4), Tambunan (3), Ranau (3), and Semporna (2).

In terms of recovery, Tawau also topped the list with 51, followed by Lahad Datu (33), Kota Kinabalu (26), Kinabatangan (13), Sandakan (17), Tuaran (11), Beaufort (8), Putatan (7), Kunak (6), Penampang (3), Kota Belud (5), Sipitang (4), Papar (3), Tambunan (2), Ranau (2), and Semporna (2), while the death toll is still four.

In PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia reported 57 Covid-19 cases Tuesday continuing its recent trend of double digits in its daily new infections. This takes the country’s total number of confirmed cases since the pandemic began to 5,482.
At the Health Ministry’s daily Covid-19 media briefing, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that Malaysia had discharged 54 more patients.

So far, 3,349 patients have recovered from Covid-19 in Malaysia since the outbreak began.
This means there are only 2,041 active cases currently being treated at the country’s health facilities.
Malaysia’s Covid-19 recovery rate is now at 61.1pc out of the total number of positive cases.
There are currently 43 patients being treated at intensive care units (ICU), with 27 needing ventilators.
Malaysia also recorded three more Covid-19 fatalities, taking the country’s death toll to 92.
On the new death cases, Dr Noor Hisham said the country’s 90th fatality, a 72-year-old Malaysian woman, had a history of diabetes and high blood pressure.
She was treated at Sungai Buloh Hospital since March 27 and was pronounced dead at 1.47pm on April 20.
The 91st death is a 69-year-old Malaysian man with a history of diabetes and high blood pressure.
He was treated at the Sarawak General Hospital since April 6 and was pronounced dead at 2.28am on April 21.
The 92nd death is a 92-year-old Malaysian man with a history of diabetes, high blood pressure and dementia.
He was a close contact of a Covid-19 positive patient.
He was treated at Kuala Lumpur Hospital since April 8 and was pronounced dead at 1.30am on April 21.
Malaysia is in its 35th day of the Movement Control Order (MCO), where people are instructed to stay at home and movement is heavily restricted.
