Deaf grass cutter hopes for PPRT house

BEAUFORT: A 45-year old, Usop bin Taraman, 45, living alone in a dilapidated house in Kg. Mentulud, here, hopes to have a PPRT house.

Abdul Sani Hj Mokjin, head of Bersatu  in the district said Usop who is deaf had been an orphan the past 10 years. He only understands sign language.

According to Sani, Usop is a grass cutter in addition to being a fisherman, which became an additional source of income in supporting and sustaining his daily life.
“In view of Usop’s condition, I have contacted Sipitang Member of Parliament, Yamani Hafez Tan Sri Musa as well as Lumadan assemblyman, Matbali Musah.
