Saving Sabah’s sun bears via a book

SANDAKAN: Ecologist Dr Wong Siew Te or “Papa Bear” hope the book which just recently launched with the title ‘Saving Sun Bears’ written by Australian author, Sarah Pye (pic), can inspire more people to care for sun bears as well as learn about Wong’s journey to save sun bears.The 287-page book is about Wong’s journey to save sun bears since his childhood as well as about sun bears that have been rescued.

“As a Malaysian, I am so proud of our country that has so many spectacular wildlife and wild flora,” he said.

Unfortunately, many of these are endangered and face extinction like the sun bears because of human activities.
