TAWAU: SJKC Yuk Chin, Tawau, received the Most Excellent Library Award 2020 for primary school category from the Sabah education department in conjunction with the state-level Teachers’ Day celebration in Kota Kinabalu, recently.

The award was given to the school for its outstanding performance in creating a conducive learning and reading atmosphere (library) for its pupils.

The scope of assessment covered library management and operation, creation of school learning atmosphere and promotion of reading activity performance, teaching equipment and learning environment, among others.

Principal Pang Dan Fung received this award and expressed her gratitude to the school board of directors, teachers, supporting staffs, the school Alumni, members of Parent-Teacher Association.

She said the school has always been committed to improving learning atmosphere in the school so as to create a better learning place for pupils.
