Chin Wei Teck, a member of Taman Kim Leng Residents Committee (TKLR), said the batching plant posed serious health concerns to the residents because the contractor was not in compliance with the Department of Environment’s (DOE) guideline to ensure a 300-metre buffer zone between the plant and housing estate.
He said the batching plant was only 50 metres from the nearest house.
