Kota Kinabalu: Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s recent statement that Sabah should be aligned to Putrajaya for the sake of development, was not in any way insensitive, said Kota Belud Armada Bersatu Chief Fairuz Renddan.He was responding to a statement by incumbent Kota Belud MP Isnaraissah Munirah Majlis, who said it was insensitive for Muhyiddin to make such remarks as it gave the impression that Sabah could not stand on its own.
Fairuz opined that Muhyiddin had never underestimated Sabah’s capability in developing the State independently as it is rich in natural resources, which renders Isnaraissah’s remarks as baseless.
