SANDAKAN: Some 50 individuals participated in a jungle trekking at the Sandakan Rainforest Discovery Center (RDC), organised by Sandakan Information Department (JaPen) recently in conjunction with the National Day celebrations.The RDC is a 3-in-1 park (wildlife, bird and plant) within the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve which has been in operation since 1996 to provide environmental education.
Sandakan JaPen Officer Geraldine Voo, who led the entourage, said the programme was organised as a way to explore and appreciate the State’s rich flora and fauna.
