SANDAKAN: Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) candidate for Elopura, Chong Thien Ming said that the residents of Taman Harmoni People’s Housing Project (PPR) here, are living in fear due to frequent crimes in the area.This is because the Sandakan Municipal Council (SMC) stopped the security service in the area since eight months ago. So the residents are exposed to danger, especially in the wee hours with no security personnel guarding the gate.
“This could be arranged accordingly with SMC, but the previous elected representative failed to address to this problem and act quickly,” he said.
