Kota Kinabalu: Having complained that the Tourism Ministry was not helpful to aid hotels, particularly three-star business hotels and below now facing undercutting by four-to-five-star hotels, a hotelier here decided to sponsor space at his hotel lobby for the campaign operations of five independent candidates.They are for N18 Inanam, N19 Likas, N20 Api-Api, N21.Luyang and N22Tanjung Aru, all within the Greater Kota Kinabalu City area.
The five independent candidates are Achmad Noorasyrul Noortaip contesting in Inanam, former SAPP Luyang assemblywoman Melanie Chia Chui Ket in Likas, former PAM Sabah chairman Ar. Sim Sie Hong in Api-Api, Chin Ling Ling in Luyang and Jan Chow Yee Fah in Tanjung Aru.
