Kota Kinabalu: A 34-year-old man was charged with abetting during a robbery.
Azlan Sulaiman pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Elsie Primus to the charge against him, Thursday.
He is accused of abetting two accomplices who are still at large by speeding his vehicle after one of the accomplice robbed Suraynie Nordin, 29.
The offence allegedly took place at 9.15pm on Sept 2 at the car park in front of Speedmart 99, here.
Azlan was charged under Section 107(c) of the Penal Code and punishable under Section 392 of the same Code which carries a jail term of up to 14 years, and whipping, upon conviction.
The court set Oct 19 for pre-trial case management and ordered Azlan was ordered remanded further pending the date.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Rustam Sanip appeared for the prosecution while Azlan was not represented.
