One Covid-19 death in Semporna, 91 new cases in Sabah

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded one Covid-19 death in Semporna and 91 new cases mostly in the Benteng cluster on Friday, said the Ministry of Health.
The fatality involved a a 50-year-old Filipina who sough treatment at a medical centre on Sept 14 for cough and shortness of breath.

She was referred to Semporna Hospital but she declined to go there and was later taken to the hospital after losing consciousness, where she died on the same day and later tested positive for the coronavirus.
The Benteng cluster registered 76 new cases -- 66 in Tawau and 10 in Lahad Datu -- and included 20 foreigners, while the Pulau cluster had four cases including a foreigner.
There were three new cases in the Selamat cluster and three severe acute respiratory illness (Sari) cases including a foreigner at Lahad Datu Hospital.

Two were symptomatic cases admitted to Tawau Hospital and one case was a close contact of case-10,145 also treated at Tawau Hospital.
