KENINGAU: Federal Rural Development Deputy Minister II Dato Henry Sum Agong said the government allocated RM4.7 million to GiatMara as an injection to get more rural youths to acquire skills from the centre.
He said the allocation is also to produce more entrepreneurs with skills acquired from the centre in addition to cover the expenses in providing the courses offered by GiatMara to young people in villages in the interior, especially in this district to gain skills namely in three fields - electrical, furniture technology and building technology.

“I am happy to see GiatMara Keningau owns its own permanent building on a 10-acre site and it is understood that this building was developed by the trainees and teachers of this centre,” he said to reporters after visiting GiatMara Keningau recently.
