KOTA KINABALU: Perikatan Nasional (PN) has never given the right to any independent candidate to consider themselves friendly with PN in the Sabah polls, reported The Star.
Bersatu Secretary-General Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin (pix) was reported as saying that the only party that PN ever allowed to say it is PN-friendly is Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS).

“But because there are so many independent candidates claiming to be Perikatan-friendly, we changed that status to ‘partner’, which is better than saying ‘friendly’," he said.
He stressed that PN already had their partners and has also instructed PN campaign workers to remove any materials that would suggest any of the independent candidates were affiliated with the coalition.
