Kota Kinabalu: All landowners in Sabah who had been afflicted with the reduction of lease period have been urged to appeal to the respective authorities to apply for rectification of titles.Making the call, former Deputy Lands and Surveys Director Datuk Anthony Linggian (pic), who is contesting the Luyang seat under Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), said he would offer assistance and advice to affected landowners should be elected to lead the constituency.
Linggian said affected landowners should apply for the rectification under Section 117 of the Land Ordinance, in compliance with the High Court decision on the suit by Chin KP against the State Government, in February.
