PENAMPANG: Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Honorary Life President Tan Sri Chong Kah Kiat said PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s announcement that he has garnered parliamentary majority will not sway the state election results in Sabah.
“There is not much reaction in West Malaysia, let alone Sabah. Hence, I think it (Anwar’s announcement) will not influence the election in Sabah,” he said, during a walkabout with LDP President Datuk Chin Su Phin and Sec-Gen Datuk Yong Wui Chung, who are contesting the Api-Api and Kapayan seats, respectively, in Donggongon town, Friday.

He said whether Anwar succeeded in his attempt to form a new federal government was West Malaysia politics, which was not a concern to Sabah.
