66 mobile gen-sets on standby
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) will strive to ensure the 16th Sabah State Election process runs smoothly without any interruption of electricity supply, especially when the vote-counting process is implemented.

In this regard, SESB has collaborated with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), 70 Regiment of Power Generators and Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) to bring in 10 TNB-owned gen-sets to Sabah after obtaining approval from the Defence Ministry through the Energy and Natural Resource Ministry.

“The mobile power units are being sent to Sabah via a RMAF courtesy flight and will arrive at Kota Kinabalu International Airport later tonight (Friday),” said SESB Senior General Manager (Asset Management) Ir. Norhizami Abu Hasan, who is also the commander of the SESB Central Operations Room, in a statement Friday.
