SANDAKAN: The Sabah Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) arrested a 25-year-old local suspected of carrying 15 packages of what is believed to be syabu, weighing 15.23kg and worth RM609,326.40, in the arrival hall of Lahad Datu Airport, at 5pm, on Sept 13.

Sabah Zone Customs Chief, Assistant Director Datuk Abdullah Jaapar, said the suspect boarded a flight from Kuala Lumpur and arrived in Kota Kinabalu before continuing his flight to Lahad Datu.

He said the suspect was detained for further investigations under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
