Kota Kinabalu: The Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday deferred to Nov 16 for the case of a 23-year-old man, who wished to plead guilty to a charge of house-trespass, pending his Covid-19 swab test result.

Magistrate Lovely Natasha Charles set the date for Tony Victor Jhonny, who was at the central lock up in Kepayan, via video teleconference proceedings.

Lovely informed Tony that since he wanted to plead guilty, the court could not show him the documents as he should have been present in the court but the problem was that he have not taken a Covid-19 swab test.

According to the prosecution, detainees can only be brought to the court after they are tested negative for Covid-19.
