TAWAU: Ten out of 14 Indonesian and Filipino detainees who escaped while waiting for the result of their Covid-19 test at the Temporary Detention Centre (PTS) off Jalan Utara on Friday have been recaptured. Search is underway for the others.
District Police Chief, ACP Peter Umbuas said the incident took place at about 2am after the coordinator at the PTS Movement Hall heard a personnel shouting for help and found two detainees climbing the fence of Block 04.
