Kota Kinabalu: Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu Pearl has teamed up with Eyemedics Specialist Eye Centre Kota Kinabalu to provide free cataract surgery. The surgery project is called “Hope in Sight”.The surgeries were performed on Milli @ Mary Pangga, and Patricia Fong on each of their eyes on Oct 8, in conjunction with World Sight Day (pic).
They will have another surgery for the other eye when Covid-19 situation improves. Due to the current pandemic, the candidates underwent stringent screening for coronavirus before surgery.
