Two deaths, 291 new cases, new cluster in Sabah
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah saw two more Covid-19 deaths at Tawau and Tuaran Hospitals, 291 new cases and a new cluster, the Minsitry of Health said on Monday.

A woman, 85, with chronic medical history, died at Tawau Hospital, while another woman, 48, passed away at Tuaran Hospital.

Most of the new cases, 259 or 89 percent, were from various types of screening or in the community, 28 in existing clusters and four in a new cluster called Kolong in Keningau.

Three existing clusters also saw new cases, namely Tujuh Serangkai in Tuaran (18 new cases), Ramai-Ramai in Sandakan (10) and Buang Sayang spread over Sabah, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Negeri Sembilan (2),

Semporna topped Sabah's caseload today with 98 new cases, followed by other red zones namely Sandakan (35), Kunak (5), Tawau (5), Lahad Datu (11), Tuaran (29), Kota Kinabalu (54), Putatan (12), Penampang (8) and Papar (16).

Yellow zones with new cases were Kota Marudu (1), Keningau (7), Tenom (1), Sipitang (3) and Kinabatangan (4), the latest data from the Ministry of Health showed.
