Kota Kinabalu: A blaze which destroyed two two-storey houses at Lorong Patuma 7 low-cost housing in Kapayan, Monday, claimed the life of an elderly man and left a mother and son injured. The 32-year-old and her three-year-old son who rented a room in the first house sustained slight injuries while trying to escape the flames.
The charred remains of 65-year-old Liew Han Chong was found in the bathroom of the second house.
