Local government and housing minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, who is also the State Minister in charge of Covid-19 matters said a total of 9,409 food baskets had been distributed to families. However, he said the government was struggling to reach more people. “I do not deny that there are some weaknesses but those entrusted with the distribution are doing their best,” he said, when asked to comment on criticism that food aid had yet to reach the ground.
