Kota Kinabalu: A 35-year-old man was charged with taking syabu for the sixth time and having the drug.
Chin Kok Fah was brought before Magistrate Jessica Ombou Kakayun, Tuesday.
However, no plea was taken from Chin after the charges were read.
On the first count, Chin is accused of taking the drug at 12.42pm on Oct 6 in the city area.
The charge stated that Chin has five previous convictions.
The offence under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act read with Section 39C(1)(b) of the same Act which provides for a jail term of between five years and seven years and whipping of not more than three strokes.
On the second, he allegedly had in possession the drug on the same day and place.
The court set Nov 17 for mention and no bail was offered to Chin.
