Cops rescue trio stranded at sea off KK
MarineSAR: The three fishermen who were stranded due to malfunctioned engine were found to be in a safe condition. 
Kota Kinabalu: Marine Police Force (MPF) rescued three fishermen who were stranded due to engine failure in waters off Karambunai in a search and rescue (SAR) operation on Tuesday.

 Sabah (Region 4) MPF Operations Officer Enturan Lageh said the operation was carried out following a report received from the Kota Kinabalu District Police Headquarters (IPD) Control Centre stating fishermen at sea sought help after boat engine failure.

 He said the MPF patrol team which was carrying out the Op Benteng/Op Covid-19 operation found the fishermen about 12.6 nautical miles from the Kota Kinabalu Marine Police Force base at about 12.22 pm.
