TAWAU: The field hospital in Tawau, which has been activated by the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF), is scheduled to be operational on Oct 20.Field hospital commander, Colonel Dr Shamsul Bahary Muhamad, said a total of 36 MAF health personnel consisting of four officers and 32 personnel of other ranks arrived in Tawau at 3pm on Thursday using the Royal Malaysia Air Force’s A400M aircraft.
“They comprise medical team from the First Medical Battalion based in Kuching and Kota Kinabalu as well as medical support from the Kota Kinabalu region’s Armed Forces Hospital.
