Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) has urged the Water Department to have generators installed at the agency’s installations around the State, including treatment plants, as a back-up in the event of a power outage.Senior General Manager (Asset Management) Norhizami Abu Hassan said this might ensure that the water supply remained stable until the electricity could be restored.
“In instances where installations had already been equipped with generators, the Department is advised to have these devices regularly maintained,” he said.
“The generators should be enabled to function in a fall-back capacity for at least six hours.”
