Tuaran: Several areas here were inundated following continuous rain since early Monday. However, no evacuation centres have been opened so far.Tuaran Civil Defence Force officer Paulina Francis said the areas affected were Kampung Bunga, Kampung Suang Bangau, Kampung Napitas, Kampung Rani, Kampung Linsuk, Kampung Minajur Surombotun, as well as Tenghilan town, while Jalan Kampung Suang Bangau was inaccessible to vehicles.
“The squad on duty will distribute aid through the village leaders,” it said, adding that the Tuaran Civil Defence Force would cooperate with other agencies to acquire information on the floodwater levels and roads inaccessible to vehicles.
