MTC to be set up in Kepayan Prison
KOTA KINABALU: The Malaysian armed forces will set up a makeshift treatment centre (MTC) in Kepayan Prison to treat and isolate patients with Covid-19, announced Senior Minister (Defence) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Tuesday.

The MTC will follow the same model used in Pokok Sena Prison, Kedah, previously.

The Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) was imposed at the Kepayan Prison and its staff quarters in Kampung Matambai, here, from Oct 20-Nov 2.

The 14-day Emco involved 3,511 individuals comprising 2,914 prisoners and 597 prison staff.
